  1. Set up a Discord account

  2. Join the Midjourney server

  3. Generate your first image with Midjourney

1. Set Up a Discord Account

To use Midjourney, you'll first need a Discord account.


Operating through Discord might seem unconventional, but it adds a unique layer of flexibility to your experience.


And don't worry, it's simple to set up.


Steps to setting up a Discord account:

  1. Visit discord.com and click on the "register" button

  2. Fill in your email, username, password, and date of birth

  3. Complete the captcha and verify your account through the email confirmation link

2 - Join the Midjourney Server

Getting started with Midjourney can be summarized in four steps

After setting up your Discord account, the next step is to join the Midjourney server.


This is where you'll create and receive images.



Steps to joining the Midjourney server:

  1. Subscribe to a plan via Midjourney's website

  2. Join the Midjourney server

  3. Choose a channel like #General or #Newbie or interact directly with the Midjourney bot

  4. Start interacting with Midjourney

3 - Generate your First Image with Midjourney

  1. Type /image into Discord

  2. Enter your prompt. For example, "A panda playing the guitar on the moon drawn with colored pencils

  3. Wait for the generated images (timing may vary) and save your favorite
